Frequently Asked Questions from parents interested in enrolling their children in the program or have questions about PowerUP.

We exist to provide mentorship to underserved children, free of charge, via martial arts.

Applying to PowerUP scholarship, after being recommended by an instructor or a community partner, allows us to place children in classes and have them study martial arts free of charge.

No, PowerUP does not provide transportation for scholars.

We do have a limited number of virtual opportunities for students. For more information please contact Yulvi Reyes Solorio.

In order for our scholars to stay in good standing, they are required to attend classes. If a child is to miss a class we encourage them to inform their instructor or community partner. Frequent absences will result in losing your child’s PowerUP Scholarship.
