At PowerUP, we are trying to connect with our community in every way we can. Our innovative model has us serving scholars, partners, and local business owners all at the same time. This year, our organization was able to serve scholars in record 63 out of the 96 zip codes in Metro Atlanta. When our team does need to come together though, it has been a challenge to find a suitable space in central Atlanta. As a nonprofit, we were concerned about finding a convenient, productive meeting space while keeping within our budget.
Then, an incredible act of solidarity and kindness helped solve our challenge. Commercial real estate development firm New City Properties was able to provide us a meeting space in central Atlanta. New City is a real estate developer that does things differently. Community-building and non-commodity spaces are at the heart of what the firm does. In other words, the firm focuses on projects that truly make a difference to the people of Atlanta. Its previous projects include Ponce City Market and 725 Ponce, both examples of spaces that bring people together in meaningful ways.
New City’s In-Kind donation of meeting space was a huge benefit to PowerUP in 2022. As our small but mighty organization continues to help disadvantaged kids thrive in 2022 we are grateful for the partners that make this growth possible!
Donate now to help us mentor and empower Atlanta’s children in 2023.
